Nice work, long hard road to drive down.
I know, I've driven it ... long long ago.
I started with a '75 coupe, mixed it up with pieces of a '70, and now she is close to a '73.
After getting the frame/birdcage/body all in place, I have let her sit since 2007.
After divorce and 7 years of alimony, I now have the funds to finish.
This year, the 'vette come back to life. Thanks for the incentive. 1972.5 - as she sits 09 29 2007
Well Monday was awesome, I drove the car 130 miles, probably the most driving its seen in 20 years. But i do hate the gearing. This car desperately needs a 5 speed swap.
I also took the car by to a few body shops for a quote on paint. I am hoping to have the car painted soon.
you have done a lot of prepping. body looks good. get it better. take it to Maaco. 500 to 1k instead of 5 to 10k. and they do actually know how to paint. the only down side is you can't buy and restore another car while they have it in the back of their shop for 2 years...
Once again its been awhile since i have updated. But big news, the vette is at the body shop ! Its been there 3 weeks and so far it looks amazing ! the car was just sprayed in polyester and they are about to start block sanding etc.
In the mean time, i have been working on getting the interior bits.
