Default c3 vette

I have a direct short to ground. what is the best way to find it ?The short blow the inline fuses at the starter.

Hi j,
Have you triple checked that the electrical connections at the starter solenoid are correct?
Have you checked the condition of those wire's insulation?
What work have you done recently that might have caused this?

I have replaced ALL WIRING form dash foward had the car running for a few mins

Only way to find a dead short IMHO is to use and Ohm meter to monitor the short and start disconnecting. If you replaced entire front harness and you know it is starter wiring go there first. There is a common mistake found at starter as the ground for wiper motor and heater motor goes to ground on motor here and people put it on starter by mistake?
