VIN location on frame

It is on the top of the frame on the drivers side rear wheel area.
I have seem them near the number four body mount area....either a little ahead of it or a little behind it.
And it may take a bit of looking due to in many cases that I have seen the numbers are rather faint and not so well pronounced.. BUT...with that...it is on top of the frame by the rear wheel on the driver side.

As gw indicated part of the car's vin was stamped on the frame rail just forward of the #4 body mount.
Depending on it's condition it can sometimes be seen using a mirror even with the body in place.
There is another stamp on the left side frame rail right about where the driver's left hip would be sitting in the car. I don't think it's possible to see this one with the body in place.
