I was wondering if anyone has a picture of the top of the windshield trim, after the top piece of trim has been removed. I am looking specifically for the location of the trim clips and how they sit in relation to the t-top center molding trim. or this piece.
It appears that the clips go on and then the the large center t-top trim covers over them, but that doesn't seem to fit perfect either. Any assistance you can provide would be helpful. When I disassembled it, there was not trim or clips in place.
If the photo of this trim is actually the one off your car...I need a GOOD close up of the edge that would come in contact in the are that you know the clips need to go.
There are a few different designs in this part...so I need to see the lip of this part that would go over the edge of your steel windshield frame where the clips go.

Here's a photo of the clips, (a total of 9), installed... but I'm unsure what year the car is.
The large piece of trim snaps over the edge of the header and the 4 screws on top of the trim hold it in place.
It's the rearward side of the long thin piece of trim, the "windshield reveal molding", that slips into the clips.

But you are aware that NOT all 1968 to 1982 Corvettes have the same trim like you showed a photo of in your first post.
Some Corvettes do not have the molding trim clips going across the top screwed into the frame as like what Alan shows in his photo. I have worked on Corvettes that when I removed the larger 'T' trim...the only clips that were screwed to the frame were the outer two on each side.
Which is why I asked for a close up photo of the front edge of your large trim.
