body mount replacement

Default body mount replacement

I starded to replace body mounts and found bolts rusted out and #3 and #7stripped out. How can i get the stripped out bolts out.I soaked them in blaster for days before i tried to break them loose but i think they were to rusted,I had to break the #4and 5 which are in the rearThe ones that are frozen are in the kick panel on each side of the car.HELP

Just cut the heads off, there will be plenty of access with the body off.

Yes, it would have to be if the bolts are still in. Just cut the heads off, lift the body and then deal with the rusted, broken bolts.

Lifting the body is not a option for this fix.

In regards to replacing body mounts.....you are going to have to raise the body.

You wrote 'body mounts' which is different than body bushings....or gussets....so...I can only respond to what you wrote.

If you find away to do this without lifting the body......let us know due to I have been doing this for a long time and there is no other way I have found.

I responded to your other thread dealing with '#3'...but I do not use the numbering system for the body mounts as you seem to be using.

Body mount #1 is in front of the firewall. So it is #1 left and right
#2 body mount is in your hinge post area left ad right.
#3 body mount is in front of your rear tires left and right.
#4 body mount is behind your rear tires left and right.
