I'm just writing this to vent. I was working on replacing the rubber on my headlight actuators and while reinstalling one of them, I chipped the heck out of the opening on the body. I'm so pissed right now. The paint on this car was probably the best thing about it. Anyway, I just felt like venting about it to people that would understand. If anybody has any suggestions, I'm open to them.

That sucks... I had some mice in my garage shortly after having my car painted. The car was parked fairly close to a workbench that had some wheel nuts sitting on it. I left the car in the garage for a week and came back to find 2 wheel nuts on the floor and two big chips into the fibreglass on my front guard. I feel your pain!

Forum member rvzio had the same problem recently. In his thread he shows how he was able to repair a large chip similar to what happened to your headlight opening. Below is the link you can click-on see pics of the problem/repair which continues to page 267........
I tell everyone that will listen that the most important tool in my garage is touchup paint.
My car was painted about 4 years ago now and the first chip I saw I thought I was going pass out.
Last night I intentionally sanded through the color where there was dirt specks in the taillight panel and used a sharp point to create a depression so I could fill it like a chip and sand it smooth.
I guess I'm saying once you accept the paint is not perfect it helps your blood pressure.
