So I have a late 79 C3 with a left blinker issue. The right blinker works fine. A short time ago the left blinker stopped blinking and stays solid (front, side, rear, and dash). I have replaced the blinker module, and all the bulbs. Didn’t fix (read a lot of posts on this). Turned on the hazards today and they all blink including all the left bulbs. Turn off the hazards and try the left blinker again, left side still does not blink...extremely frustrated...any ideas?
I know it is not the direction signal flasher due to the right side works.
Due to your LEFT side lights work when the hazards are put on..that is telling me that they work and the wiring is all good.
INQUIREY: Turn your headlights on and try the hazards and see if they work. There is a reason for this..but I bet that they work...but if they don't...then it is something else.
Assuming that the left side light bulbs were not changed out recently to another design such as LED's which can effect how the flasher works on that side. but ...knowing that the lights work when the hazards are on...and they flash at the same cadence...I doubt that is it.
Tried with the headlights on. The front blinker lights flash in time, however the side and rear on the left blink opposite the right, but they all blink. Super weird that some would be opposite.
If I read what you wrote correctly. When the headlight switch is ON...The LEFT rear hazards work...and the RIGHT hazards work. BUT..when they are blinking. They are NOT in time. Correct? Please respond.
NOW...turn your headlights ON and press the brake pedal and tell me if the rear brake lights shine or not.
