Sold my perfect 1971 Brands Hatch green LT-1 coupe to a super Vette enthusiast in Germany. Sad to see it leave the US, but he wanted it badly. So I’m finally down to owning one LT-1, the roadster in my avatar. Now I can focus on enjoying this car....mission accomplished!

Congratulations on the sale and can I also say thanks for selling to an overseas buyer. I bought my LT-1 from a Forum member but 2 cars before that the owners flat out refused to sell to me being in the UK

But please don't sell anymore into the UK ok! I like that mine is one of very few over here

Thankfully I have no more to sell! My roadster is the keeper.

I dont understand why sellers refuse to sell to overseas buyers. We are an international brotherhood of enthusiasts afterall!

i had two LT-1’s and a 72 LS5. Sold the LS5 and one of the LT-1’s but am keeping the roadster. Yeah, I can’t be without one LT-1 either. What’s wrong with us?! Hahah

My 70. Finally got it mostly sorted out and drove for the first time on Sunday. What a fun engine! This car drives so much better than my old 69 big block

How the LT-1 drives and handles is something that most don't understand or will experience.

Anticipation!

You must be quite antsy!

One can increase tank capacity a few gallons by 'venting' the filler neck. The filler extends a bit down into the than, trapping air at the top. Only fill above lower level of the filler neck when you are actively on a road trip.

All right ! Waiting for it is like a punition. It's mine but can't enjoy or even touch it ! It'll be a greater discovery upon delivery... ☺

Thank you for the tank tip. Didn't now that was possible. 👍

Here's a Vlog Video done by the french importer Easy Import Auto located in Miami with an Appache pickup and my LT-1. He's a very nice guy, dealing cars and forwarding them to Europe, mainly France. You can jump at the 10th min if not interested in the Appache, thought it's a nice piece of Pickup to see.

I did the same and the ship carrying mine sailed right passed the UK to offload in Germany first but missed their off-load spot so it had to sit at anchor for a week before getting a new slot.

Frustrating to say the least but hopefully yours goes trouble free.

We have to pay a 5% (of the cars value) import duty. Do the French gov have a similar levy ?
