Dub needs help
All,
If anyone has been on this forum long enough, you know that Dub (from Corvette Etc in Charlotte NC) has been an outstanding member of this forum and the Corvette community as a whole. Recently, someone has tried to tarnish his reputation via Yelp. If you go read the post I'm sure you'll understand why he's pretty upset. Normally, yeah you can't please everyone, but as this was his first and only review, it's pretty devastating. If you have time and have either gotten your Vette serviced at his shop or he's helped you with a problem here, go show your appreciation.

Done! The review that was left was shameful! Dub contributes a wealth of information with no monetary return all the time! Not to mention the work he does. Its people like that one , that ruin the hobby and keep great guys from helping others. Thanks for all you do Dub! ~ Donnie

fwiw yelp has filters that are suppose to prevent spamming of reviews.
So for example, everyone is probably gonna try and post a review within the next 24-48 hrs. Itll detect the high traffic and posts and get flagged to the point that reviews will go into a pending process to see if theyre fake. especially for new users who sign up specifically to rate him.
the automated software will filter out what it thinks are fake reviews and the star rating will be adjusted without them.

It’s odd that they give you a chance to positively rank reviews there 3 different ways, but you aren’t allow to report a review that’s obviously abusive with that ridiculous accusation. I’m surprised Yelp doesn’t clearly have a review report button.

What a stupid review. Apparently the guy thinks he didn't get called because: "I believe he doesn't like patronage from ppl of darker hue". Geeze.

No one goes further out of their way to help others than Dub, period. I agree with Richard, review the reviewer, people will see through the bs.

It's a shame that the person who wrote the scathing review had to bring race into the mix. I have never had the pleasure of dealing with DUB but, I have enjoyed his posts. He has always taken time out of his busy day to go into great detail to help out a fellow Corvette owner.
It's really sad how people can hide behind a keyboard and the internet.

Dub has been a great help to many folks on this forum and has not hesitated to be helpful when he can. As stated in other post its a shame that some %^#$head has to bring race into it. Good Luck Dub.

Yelp is useless, I can tell By Vito’s post that his car is probably a really POS and he is probably a big talker and want to be baller...

We are lucky to have a guy like Dub here to help the members of this forum.
I have called him several times and it blows me away how he will take time out of his busy day to lend advice to a guy he doesn't even know.
I am so fortunate to have a guy of his knowledge and character who is willing to help me. I now consider him a friend

I've spoken to DUB twice. The second time he called me out of the blue based on something I wrote on this forum. He's been extremely generous with his time and technical help. Whoever wrote that review sounds impatient with a chip on his shoulder and wouldn't be satisfied by anyone.
If I lived a thousand miles closer you better believe I'd take my 'vette to DUB and rest assured he would do exactly what he said he would.
