Thanks Scott!
I tried to get 5* of caster with stock parts.
With offset a-arms, and 1/4" slotted shafts, I got there, but I had a 3/4" stack of shims!
And I still want to add a front "spreader bar" but had no room left on the bolts.
I basically threw in the towel.
Well it has been a busy summer.
And I thought I was retired and had all this free time? LOL
Turned 70 (yuk)
………….
And managed to finish my 27 years in the waiting garage workshop.
Now it's time to pull the Corvette back down!
Finally a decent Corvette Workshop!
Good to see the workshop done.
As for more time in retirement yes sometimes you do but we have found a lot of the time we are way busier, helping out family like you mentioned, minding grandkids, and we both have an elderly parent who needs a fair bit of help.
I noticed that the Corvette came #4 on your list.
It doesn’t change.
I have things I want to accomplish each day and I’m always putting the time I spend working on the Corvette last.
Except for dinner and the time Kristine and spend relaxing in the evenings.
Well it has been a while, buts this weekend I played Tetris in the garage again, shuffled every box in there.
I moved the Corvette frame back out of it's 18 month storage, buried in the right bay, and back into the left bay.
Out she comes
And back she goes. Now it is time to get back to work!

I understand completely Leigh… I probably spend 1/4 of the time I spend “working on cars” rearranging projects in the garage so that I have more room. It’s an ongoing battle!
I got my recovered 82 steering wheel back from Corvette America today. Now it will match the interior. I love it! And it feels great.
IMO the steering wheel is your #1 most important connection to the car. The smaller 14" diameter, the thicker grip, the leather, all equally important.
The old wheel I started with. The thin rim 15" 72 OEM one just does not compare to these 78-82 wheels.

Vendors sell the "wood" grain inserts in at least two different types of wood. I think the type of grain may have been year specific.....(all written from memory of the time when I bought some wood grain inserts.)
