Does anyone use the Quick Jack lift? The 5K that I looked at on the Home Depot site said max lift height is 17.5 inches. I'm not a thick guy, but when I set the yardstick up, it still doesn't give much room to move underneath, let alone on any kind of creeper.
Any user comments?
For some reason that doesn't sound right. I haven't put my C3 up on it yet, but I had my 66 Fastback up so high I was under it and saw things I never saw before it was so high up. Mine will definitely go higher than my heavy duty/tall jackstands will go. Mine is the 7K, it lifts my F150 high enough I sat on a roller stool and did the brakes without leaning over. Maybe you need the additional blocks / adapter kit?

I love mine. It goes higher than 17". I think 17 is the first stop. I slide all around on a creeper under it.
It is super fast and really useful!
I have a 5K Quick Jack. The maximum lift is 18", not counting the blocks. I believe the thicker blocks are 3" so that makes 21" without stacking. That is quite a bit more than I get on jack stands.
on my 79 frame rails where it gets jacked are not perfectly flat and when i double stacked it was very scary as they flung out..3 stayed and one hung in air..
I also bought the truck adapter kit so I usually don't stack the rubber blocks. I love the thing, takes a little getting used to because of its weight, etc. but still a great thing to have in your garage.

ya no way stack them..
how big is that block you got and where?
I love my 5K QuickJack! I’ve had it for about a year and use it a lot. I haven’t had any problems stacking the blocks. I put my blocks in across the tray that they go in. I can see them squirting out if one were to put them in the tray lengthwise (facing the same direction as the lifts) but I tested mine by pushing, shoving and bumping into the car while it was on the lift and it was rock solid. I’d have to look at the manual, but I’m pretty sure it says that you can stack the blocks for additional height if needed. I get about 21” lift with mine.
Has anyone tried offsetting the blocks by having taller ones in the front? I did an oil change on my wife's Malibu and it didn't get all the oil out because of the angle

There is no reason in the world why not - just make sure the car is solid once you get it up. Iif the car is tilted, I would think that far more dangerous than 2 different height blocks. I'm sure that is also why they give you different thicknesses instead of multiple of the same.
Im just commenting on my experience stacking blocks..it only happened once, thats all it takes..again my frame rails as I’m sure many are not perfect flat...and if not perfectly parallel they will bind enough to toss blocks..just saying not arguing...
good luck be safe

I can't really use the truck adapter kit on my 'vette, it is too tall to get under. Stacking the blocks are fine, I'd just take some extra time to make sure those blocks are square. Now that i type this, I think there might be something in the instructions that tell you not to stack them, but i'd have to look. I've stacked them (before I got my truck kit) and the vehicle was solid as a rock. I usually put a couple of jackstands under there too, haven't had the quickjack long enough to completely trust it... everything I read says you do not have to, but man, i'm ready to die, but just not under a car that I didn't stabilize, LOL.
I use these. Probably takes me the same amount of time to set them up. I can put them as high as I need them They keep the car on the suspension so I can take out the roofs and open the doors. I can do most anything under the car and have plenty of room and they cost me less than $60 to make.
