Default Shifter console screws

Looking for the correct screw that holds this to the brackets? See screw at yellow and blue wires. #8-18 X ? and oval head, pan head?

IIRC sort of a oval head but fairly flat with a built in washer (part of the head, not a separate part)

My '71 has a #8 x 1/2" black-oxide 'pan head' screw without any washer under it at that spot. The chrome screw with washer is used to retain the forward access cover in that other hole.

Thanks, I knew it was a size #8, but the the head of the screw goes right through the ovaled hole. The picture was from Alan, so I figured it was the correct screw.

Appreciate all the help

Pan-head screws have a wider head than a round-head or oval-head screw. And, I can only tell you what is in my car. I can't testify that they are what came from the factory...but I believe that the are.

Found a picture, shows black pan head screws with washers.

Will have to find the somewhere else

That screw/washer would work. It is a little thicker than the pan-head screw w/o the washer. But find what will work best for you.
