Too funny - I grew up listening to that too. It's D-E-L-U-X-E, yes sir, and and just you look - it includes wheel and door jambs!
Blue Island Illinois, 1963 something, i cant remember that far back. Got hooked up with this chick that worked there. Hey, we heed a painter at work.
Soooooo, God what a blast, they actually paid me to do this.
Sooooo. 55 years later i paid a painters son to paint to paint my Vet . WHAT COULD GO WRONG ?? The problems are ENDLESS.
Do your homework, ask **** loads of questions, screw the people/shops that wont answer your questions.
Not sure if it got covered already, as this is a long thread, (may have missed it) but definitely replace the rubber bumpers, even if they look good. If they are not warped/cracked yet, the solvent will kill any life left in them. While you can get replacements, I much prefer fitted/prepped fiberglass replacements. Even when these cars were new, the urethane bumpers fitment was crap. Apologies in advance if I'm pointing out the obvious. I painted my '75 in '88 or so, when it was still relatively new, only to have the bumpers fall apart some years later...
