Thank you, it will be Silver soon, looks like Earl Scheib painted this thing...........I was kind of surprised it has manual brakes, this common ?
I do not have power steering or brakes on my '70 and do not miss either... The steering can be a bit of a bitch when parking but that is it... The brakes have never been a problem.

Same sentiments on my 1970 without power steering or power brakes.

Welcome to the C3 club! As to no power steering or brakes, can't give you the exact numbers off the top of my head but yes, there were quite a few built without one or both. Owned as 70' L-46 without power brakes or steering, it was a beast to steer and brake.
Enjoy your new machine! BTW, nice toys in that garage or yours!
Before I get to far into this resto, whats a documented 390/427 like this worth when done ? not a NCRS restoration but a well done frame on resto with mostly all OE parts, this cars really a survivor

thanks for any input...
Wow - Tough question but being the owner of a '70 big block I will give it a shot..... A solid driver with paint rated 7 and above would probably be $28-$40K arena.... Paint in the 9-10 ballpark, new interior, everything working, engine in good shape and clean birdcage would be up to about $55k.... To pull that number it would have to be pretty darn nice.
This is my '70 I mentioned.. 4 speed, 454, convertible with show paint and new interior.. I feel I would do good to pull $50k on a good day.. Roughly half what I have in the car... Thank goodness I am never selling
