Well lets see. 57 fuel car, 63 grand sport, 65 fuel coupe, 67 tri power, 69 L88?
To turn back the clock to a time when we were young, healthy, and many family still alive would be about 1975 for me. At 16 with a new '75 red on black leather, L82, 4 speed, 370, non ac coupe I would be very happy but more so for the other things in life then a corvette. Sure it was a slug, but at 16 it would be a very nice slug. Also at 16 I was already reading about the new 12 bolt conversion being done in the land of magic- CA. So the seed was already planted and that 75 would soon be hosting a modified diff setup.
I just remembered.....if I could go back to 1969, even though I was only a junior in HS at the time, I would have mortgaged my broke azz to the hilt, to purchase the brand new, 1969 COPO 427 Camaro, that a local Chevy dealer had in stock, back then.........you know, the black one, that sold for some insane number at Barrett-Jackson, several years ago.
