Default Time machine - what would you order?

I'm sure we've all played the game in our heads - we have a time machine and could go back to a point in time and buy a brand new 'vette to our own spec.

What would you buy?

Only rule is, you can only have one....

(ZL-1 is exempt from the game)

I'd have a '69 Coupe
L88
M22
Riverside Gold
Black Leather
Side pipes

What would you order?

2022 C3 of the Year Finalist - Modified
Default Dream to Reality

Then I suggest you buy the closest thing you can to that dream.....and make the rest of it happen. After restoring my 77 Corvette to better than GM every built it, I found this 69 Convertible,....and my plan is:

Black
Red Interior (maybe black)
Redline Tires
Big Block L36 427 with 427 hood
Muncie 4-speed
NO Airconditioning
Manual Brakes
Manual Steering
Fender Gill Inserts

And here is the thing......your thread is to buy a new one in 69. My 69 will be BETTER than Chevrolet built them in 69. All it takes is alot of energy, and it does take money. But its worth every penny.

That is how you fulfill this dream......you aren't going to find this mythical car for $15K - $20K. It does not exist.

1953 Corvette SN# 1. Store in an undisclosed capsule. Return to 2020. Unearth said capsule. Sell it after months of hype. Retire to southern coastal SC and have money left over to buy one of the Apollo 12 1969 cars.

Just a light hearted thread, nothing to do with my search.

I'd order a black/black '63 SWC, with the 279th factory air unit included.

In 1972, I set my time machine back by three years and bought an immaculate silver 350/350 4 Spd at half price.

Isn't that what's in your garage (and avatar) already?

I'd order the second-in-the-world 1971 LT-1 ZR1 roadster, SPEC paint, black on red.

No, my car is a Daytona Blue SWC, sans A/C. People mistake it for black, though. And there’s still only 278 A/C ‘63s out there.

Your choice is pretty good, too.

a blue with white and blue 67 coupe with a L79, and AC, bolt on wheels and N11 exhaust. that would be a great daily driver. for a car you didn't want to drive it would be a 67 L71 black on teal blue interior convertible
