I don't know how far of a drive it is for you to see it in person. But since they are posting the VIN online (not a CE), they should have no problem sending you some extra photos. Ask for the trim tag, engine, and interior.
It's about a 2 hour drive from me, at a dealership. One owner car with 90k miles....Anyone have thoughts on the cross fire engine?
I'd be more leary about the 'one owner car' statement than the crossfire engine. Any documentation on the previous ownership - like service records, etc? L-46Man and Bucanneer both know more about the crossfire, so I'll let them go into the details of that, but I personally wouldn't have an issue with buying a crossfire equipped vette..
I'm working on getting engine pictures and a clarification on the actual color. I don't think it's purple but I don't want to drive 2 hours to see a purple 82 since it wasn't a color option for that year.
EGR valve has been removed. Not sure why. The EGR system is not an issue. It kinda sits there and quietly does it’s own thing.
The oil filler cap has a C5 emblem?
It looks like the valve covers may not be original. If not, they may been painted.
I see gunk on the intake between the distributor shield and air breather. Definitely want to lift that air breather and take a look.
AC looks like it was probably converted given the red cap. Need to confirm that though. If the conversion to 134 was done properly that is a plus.
Based on what I see here, I don’t see anything alarming, but surely needs a better look because someone has been under the hood.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS (mostly) ALL PRESENT AND ACCOUNTED FOR. The air cleaner assy has been painted incorrectly...should be FLAT crinkle finish....the only Corvette to have this.
The ram air system is missing...this is mounted on the hood. DEDUCT!

The ram air system....thats a plastic piece that's attached to the underside of the hood? What affect does it have on performance if it isn't there?
