Weekend progress update: started mocking up the kick panel speaker placement (going with jbl component c6500) - I’ll add the tweeters where the original speakers used to be
had a little helper too - she can’t wait to go on her first ride on the Vette
Yesterday I started playing around with the bubble lights - on the right path but not super happy with the end result - the switchback led doesn't really serve it's purpose for reverse since the red lenses pretty much block any discernable differences between the amber and white leds but alas, not bad for a first test!
Lighting and interior work continue slowly but surely:
New carpet has also been ordered (going with black) and in the meantime I re-dyed just about every part with the exception of the door panels (need to get me some more dye)

It's been a while! My wife and I welcomed a new baby girl a couple months ago and opportunities to work on the Vette were few and far between but I do have quite a few updates to share, a lot of which I wouldn't have been able to done without your help!
Addressed the issue of the spacing between wheel wells to ground between passenger and driver side - this entailed changing a few body mounts (not sure I'm a huge fan of the energy suspension poly stuff). It's within 1/2" now - I'll take it
New goodies on the rear end: 330lbs monoleaf and smart struts
Later this week I'm bringing it in to another shop for a visual inspection, oil change and check timing, and after that, straight to dyno!
It's running and handling considerably better than it ever was but being my first time working on a car and having changed so much stuff underneath, I'd rather have someone double check the work.
