There is a keyed ignition switch available for '54 F100, so could be. Starter under the gas pedal, that's a new one on me! This is a fun thread, off topic or not!

And we're back to push buttons on the dash to start the cars..... I'm predicting that there will be a crank out in the front grill you need to turn to start the cars by 2025

Hmmm, Quoting Dave McClellan....

Q. What happens if the computer 'burps'?
DMC "We have a limp-home mode in the computer".
Q. What happens when the battery dies?
DMC "We have another back up mode...It's called Walk home mode!"

I love the ANALOG- ness of the C-3.

Had a late fifties or early sixties "bath tub style" Nash Rambler. You turned the dash key to on and pulled back on the selector lever to start the car! Weird. All the older cars had the bare dimmer switch on the floor. Lou.
