That would take someone more knowledgeable than me to answer. I do know that once you pick the right length and weight of the spring, the threaded body of the shock allows you to adjust the ride height 2" to dial it in exactly where you want it. Yo can then test it and swap out springs for firm/soft ride, track conditions if you race, etc.
back and the front or?they don’t even give any recommendation for weight and size and everything??
FRONT
IIRC the springs out there just won't fit the C3- when I bought a set of semi-coilovers 10 years ago from Vansteel- they were telling me what they did different to make it work.
I really don't think you'll come out any cheaper - or find something that will work for what Vansteel has specifically designed for the C3.
Why don't you give them a call - they'll be able to recommend a spring rate for your application.
REAR-
It's not just as easy as bolting a shock with a spring around it on ...
Vansteel has a complete kit- less than $1500 for the rear set up- and get you'll the correct rates for you- and how you plan on using/driving the car.
Front semi- coilovers
Front full coil overs- tubular A-arms
Rear coilovers- come with new trailing arms designed for it
November 2021 HOT ROD, shows a tri-five getting Aldan American coil overs. Went to their web site, they have them for corvettes. $500-$600 area. Anyone have these?
