-can I buy these and will they just go on with no other upgrades and will they just fit in I tried to look in the description and it says ready to bolt on but does that mean to a stock setup? This might be a stupid question and you guys might have no idea so just wondering if anyone had personal experience with coilovers on a c3 I have a 73 350
Certain front semi-coilovers are bolt-in using stock hardware. I am not aware of any rear solution that fits directly. I think the Ridetech rear requires new trailing arms, and a differential carrier. https://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corv...-374527-1.html
What do you have now? Though it may take months for VanSteel to start making new low-arch composite springs similar to what VB&P once made, that is probably your best bet. In the meantime, you may be able to lower the rear a bit with longer bolts (up to 8", keep the spring ends above the tires).
I am working on Installing the rear coil over setup from Van Steel currently. With the stock rear suspension my 1975 coupe needing work, I spent some cash going with single adjustable QA1 coil overs. Van Steel built new trailing arms with the emergency brake cable mount relocated, and the arms also have a different lower mount for the shock. Supplied with the kit is a beefed up shock top mount which fits over the existing top mount and you have to weld it in place. The original top mount is still used but the Van Steel piece is thicker steel and then uses a larger bolt. I had to enlarge the top mount hole to 1/2" as the new bolt would not go through the original mount hole. I also purchased the heim joint struts from Van Steel so all bushings, bearings, spindles, and park brake stuff is new. Still in work.
- does anyone know of any coilovers or suspension that will fit on my stock 73 and make it a couple inches lower
With the stock lower a-arms you will want a plate on the bottom to reinforce the arm. Because your putting all the base weight and spring weight on those two bolts.
If I'm not mistaken a lot of the 550lb front coil springs will lower the front around a inch from stock ride height. I know when I bought mine many years ago from VBP they said they would lower the front 1 or 2 inches - can't remember exactly but they did lower it very noticeably - at least an inch.
Our semi-coil kit is a direct bolt-in requiring no modifications and has adjustability to lower the front up to 2". $1016.80 and we offer a forum discount of 10% for members.
I just installed QA1 semi coil overs on my car. No other mods needed to install them. Make sure you get the optional thrust bearings. makes adjusting ride height much easier.

-can you drop a link to the part on the website for the front and rear ones that you bought

Starting at $1459 single adjust to double adjust w/ johnnny joints $2049

These are the coil overs for the front. They bolt right in with the factory lower a-arms. For the rear I just bought the single adjustable QA1 shocks to complement the Vansteel composite spring I've been waiting on since January.
Thanks for all the reply’s, im looking at the front and rear coil overs I put the pictures of the front and rear I’m talking about and it looks like they don’t have springs does that means they don’t need springs would I need to buy springs for the front seprate and the rear doesn’t need them this may sound really stupid but I’m just a little confused
