The spindle knocker is for the spindle or axle and the shock mount tool is similar. It is worth the $20 or so if you want to save the mounts.
The knurl on the mount will be flat when removed so it is not going to grab as it should.
sometimes the mount is seized to center of the bushing sleeve and then you will have to cut it off
