Running a PVC is not a "one size fits all." I'm running ITBs and it will act like a really bad vacuum leak- plus I have a 3 stage dry sump pump with an AOS (Air Oil Separator)

Ok, but what's all that got to do with a BBC?

Crankcase ventilation is crankcase and it doesn’t care what type of engine crankcase you are venting.
I’ve run performance engines for decades without a PCV valve and don’t plan to start now, just because someone says it’s better.
I’ll set my engine up with two filtered catch cans and it will be just fine.
This engine will see 2000 - 3000 miles per year maximum with annual oil changes so I’m not worried.

Fly skids up!
Good point.
Do you know what motors those are in case you need to replace them?

Answer. Richard Has been building these kits for awhile now. They have been discussed on this forum many, many times over the last several years. I've yet to hear of a single dissatisfied customer.
Richard also often lends tech assistance on this forum. And I have read a number of his posts. The guy knows what he's talking about. He's clearly no dummy when it comes to electrical.
His stuff is clearly American made, he's an American.
All of this is enough for me.

I put twice as much miles on mine so yea I do worry. If it's for the street, it gets a PVC system, preferably a closed type. I don't want to smell like crankcase vapors.

Well those motors he uses are originally designed for rear wiper use. Now that in itself doesn't make it a bad thing but it it does lack the manual raise **** and the long output shaft that's not supported in our application gives me concern. Those motors in Richard's kits are manufactured by Mitsuba with main headquarters in japan with a global presence and manufacturing around the world. While they do have several manufacturing plants in the USA, it's actually unclear where those motors are actually manufactured.

I don't know. However the kits are cheap enough that if they do need to be replaced I would just get a new kit.

I am another with Richard's kit. Couldn't be happier and mine does have a manual raise ****. Would buy his kit again in a heartbeat.

Thank you. I imagine you started at the vacuum actuators and just kept removing vacuum lines until you hit hit the firewall? Have a Great Day!

Hey come on up to Fernandina Beach-it's what-an hour away. I'll buy lunch. Be glad to show you how it's built. Oh the shaft is hardened steel- I let you put it in a vice with a sledge hammer and you'll see how tough the metal shaft/ gears are. Seriously- head on up this way- or if you head up for the Amelia Concours d'Elegance next weekend.

It's not unclear-

Thanks Richard, I'll take you up on your offer sometime in the near future. Concours d'Elegance ain't exactly my thing but I would like to check out your Vette. And you drive mine if you like. Marc

Goodonya Richard for sticking up for yourself/your kit.
I've never heard a bad word about your kits.

I just picked up a nice 1969 350/300 manual numbers match. This sounds like a great option. I am new to the forum so do not have PM capabilities. I get that, makes spammers harder. Can someone send me Richard's email? I want to try one of his electric headlight conversion kits. If email works better my email is Steve_Barr@NCSU.EDU. I am a real person, no marketing.

Thanks much.

Steve

I think I am about ready to pull the trigger on Richard's replacement system. My old vacuum can on the left and the new one did not fix anything.

Darla, I am not a change things for the sake of change kind of guy, but the electric headlight conversion is just a great change. Richards kits are excellent and how nice it was to get rid of all the vacuum stuff.
