I originally wanted a convertible four speed chrome bumper. I could only afford a convertible four speed.

However, after 30 plus years, the 75 still looks like a modern car. Chrome bumpers look like classics. The rubber bumper cars look modern in my eyes.

that’s a great looking car!

Yes, very true Doc. Almost like they're ashamed of the front end. I find that odd.
I know these are mostly subtle differences and there's no accounting for taste, but I liked the '73's mix of styles as soon as they hit the road. I've owned several 73's over the years and just found they fit me well, the additional sound deadening materials and redesigned body mounts make for a much quieter cabin than the earlier cars, and while most Corvettes are only marginally safer than riding a motorcycle if you get into an accident, I appreciate the new steel beams added inside the doors for cabin protection. So most of these improvements don't really show to the casual observer but the '73 was a very well engineered car for it's time.
I've had both both chrome bumper cars and soft bumper cars and loved them all. The biggest improvement for me personally was the introduction of the cowl induction hood for 1973. I think it looks great and eliminates the novelty wiper door, which can prove to be quite finicky at times (68-72 guys don't flame me! ) I like ALL C3's, each year has something the others don't. Hey you like redheads, I like blondes ...but they'e all girls, right?

73 and 80-82 do it for me, the ones in the middle are mostly ok but the earlier ones need a good dentist to work on their "grills"...Never liked the chrome front ends and that goes back to when they were new. But I do appreciate a good A$$ and the chrome bumper cars rule in that regard so the 73 has that pretty nose and terrific butt....80-82 are a close second..

OP, none of the Rubber bumper cars were fast movers, buy it, enjoy it, and modify it if you so desire,,,,

I'm exactly the opposite. It's so crazy, that these cars which look so similar to non-Vette people, are so different to us!

I’ve got an 82 and love it! I have friends with all differing years, and each one looks great in my opinion. I’ve had C4’s and C5’s, but I think the C3 looks the best. I luv em all.

I too have a '75 and really have fun working on it with my boys. It is a work in progress but that's most of the fun!

I have a 1975 4-spd coupe. oops..it is a 5-spd now. Be aware this is the first year of the catalytic converter in a Vette and the exhaust is plumbed dual to choke point single cat then back to dual. Also first year of HEI distributor. 1975 has nothing else to set it apart from other C-3 cars-no anniversary, no pace car, no collector edition, no big block, so 1975 probably one of the least sought after. Still a C-3 Corvette, though. Good one to make it your own.

Only thing noteworthy is the last year of the C3 convertible.
