clean clear windshield FINALLY !!
I took 6oz of very hot tap water, added 1tsp of Palmolive Pure & Clear dish soap and added 2tsp of 70% isopropyl alcohol into a small jar and mixed it up. The trick is to use lint free or microfiber rags and fortunately I have piles of both. I just soaked one in the mixture and scrubbed the glass, then took the second one to remove most of the mess then used a third one to polish.
WOW !!! Talk about a problem solver ! I have a '68 Cutlass and I never could get the glass clean, Spray Away or Windex did very little and the paper towel left streaks and bits of paper because the glass is slightly abraded. Looked terrible, now its literally sparkling and smooth as .... glass ! My C3 and the rest of The Fleet will get this today. That one little jar was plenty to do the whole GM A body. I love cheap little hacks that work.
Palmolive Ultra Liquid Dish Soap,

I'll try the newspaper on some other part of The Fleet, thanks. Right now my driveway looks like a used car lot.....
Dampen the center of a soft ccloth with.......Acetone...
BUT DON'T APPLY ENOUGH Acetone that it will DRIP from the CLOTH!
Wipe the windshield until you need sunglasses....it may need a second treatment for heavy road grime.
Then remove the wiper blades and scrub the rubbers with an SOS pad...rinse well and dry before reinstalling the blades.
