I'm proud that I got everything done by myself.. Mr. Wonderful (Alan) helped me on the day that I attached the transmission to the engine, but other than that, I did everything myself...
I'd be scared somethingless to drive that car if the differential is suspect. Better to just listen to it go vroom-vroom in neutral for awhile until you get that sorted out.

I won't drive more than 5 to 10 miles once I get the driveshaft in.. Want to see how the transmission shifts and check for any leaks that I'll have to address... I had a few leaks on the fuel system which I all fixed. When I initially ran the fuel pump for the first time, fuel would just sqirt all over the place
Fixed all the issues and I don't seem to leak fuel anymore... There seems to be a small leak somewhere on the tranny lines.. There was some tranny fluid under the car after firing it will try to find the issue tomorrow...

I have experiences driving with damaged differentials.. I actually drove once over 300 miles with a differential on which each spider gear had a tooth missing and the posi case was cracked
I won't have that differential fixed because my 12-bolt IRS setup is going in in a couple of weeks...
How about some audio video of it ... no WMV though.
I'll make a video tomorrow.. However - I have no place to host anything but .wmv videos.. If somebody has webspace that allows mpegs to be hosted I'd be more than happy to post a mpeg video!
The old engine sounded nothing like the new one.. The cam on the new engine 30 degrees more .050 duration and is a solid roller... A solid roller just sounds completely different
The engine really sounds like a real race car engine
YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! great job Oliver! something tells me you are gonna be the alarm clock at CI again, aren't ya? I kid you not, the last engine was angry enough! If this one is worse, Lord help us!
