Oliver needs his own section. That way when he builds a crate, installs a throttle cable, revs his engine, or goes to the bathroom he'll have a place to post it.
I presented my recommendations in the latest thread....of many in recent months and years. As did many others. Why are we flogging several dead horses to death? The stench is overwhelming.
Corvette Action Center has 4 or 5 differant sections, but nobody hangs out there, hmmm, I wonder why?
Probably because there's no traffic on the site. I can go over there & find threads that I posted a year ago on the 1st page of the sections I participate in.
As you are aware this topic gets beat around every few months. I don't mind a single C3 section for General and Technical threads. It is pretty easy to ignore what you are not interested in.
Multiple sections solve some problems and generate other problems.
Can the users post in the appropriate forum? With a "Tech" section you get the folks that think, "what color is fastest?" is a technical question.
If you see a good question that gets "dropped" you can always "TTT" it to toss it back into play.
The place works pretty good, it would be unfortunate to take a "let's fix it 'till its broke" approach.

somebody should tell the guys in C4,c5 and C6 as their forums are broken up into as many as 8 sections. They need to consolodate back to 1 section to make everything more convenient.
I suggest we start with adding single "high tech" section and add more if it works for everyone.
Why don't we have a "Ask Bubba" section where people ask questions and I'll answer them
we need an Olivier section!! It would be a mix of tech and entertainment. I would have never attempted an engine swap had it not been for him!
That post in OT had me guffawing! I need to check out the reply from O about the neighbor that called the cops on him.

Number One answer on the board, darlin' !!!!! "

The problem with a split, as I see it, is is the question "How DO I beef-up my L-48" a Tech question, or will the few that build more exotic Corvettes 'boo' them away as 'general' in-nature?
Exactly "WHO" establishes what IS technical, and what ISN'T?

i find that very interesting...
i wonder why folks come here instead where we have only one, great, simple, section...HHHMMMM???
VERY interesting...

ill tell you EXACTLY why...
by nature, people that fight venomously for change will never admit that they were wrong...
the more they argue thier point the more committed to it they become even if they start seeing that they were wrong...they wont admit it...
you will see the same thing here after the change...
even tho things will be scattered and hard to find, they will NEVER say...
"you know guys...we were wrong, it was better and easier the old way"
