Accelerator Cable Question
i was thinking about replacing the lower cable on my 79 with Cruise, now when i take the lower portion that connects tot he transmission, will fluid from the tranny start to leak out , and are there any o-rings that i will have to mess with? and what about the upper one? i know it goes through the firewall, is there a special grommet i need when i go to replace that one?

Fluid should not leak out, if it does either the "bullet" is worn out or the driven gear is.
The firewall gromment is a bit hard to install. If you can get your old cable out and the new one in without taking the grommet out it might be easier.
