One trick I've found that works for me every time is to just grab a shop towel or other rag and slide it between the **** and panel. Then work the rag back and forth at different angles like you're drying your back off after a shower. The rag will grab one of the little ears on the clip and pop it right off. Absolutely no way to scratch anything this way either.

i just did mine today... the nut on the door handle is impossible to reattach...works fine with just the front nut. i used the flat tool for installation and removal of lock and crank... as far as reattaching actuator rod on the door handle i disconnected the rod from inside, put it in the handle and then put the handle in the door... witha pair of needle nose pliers and a lotta determination i got it back together and its workin fine
