Conversion possible from MSD to mechanical tach?

In building my 454 stroker the distributor will be changed out for a MSD set up. I need some ideas on converting my 1969 tach to electric, if possible. Is there some sort of electro-mechanical conversion kit or will I just have to live with an extra electric tach somewhere else in the cabin? Thanks in advance for any replies to this challenge.

You should be able to find some info with a search. Several of us have replaced our mech tachs with 75-77 electric tachs. I used my 71 faceplate so the numbers are the correct color and redline is correct. It's a fairly simple procedure.

I was hoping for a solution that did not require taking out the dashboard; not a fun thing. I reckon your conversion requires this, correct?

Are you just trying to get rid of your mechanical tach? MSD makes a tach drive distributor. Thats what I am running.

I have an MSD Pro-Billet with a mechanical tach drive in my '70. Forgot what the part number was, but look around. Worked great for me..... until my tach cable broke. now I have no tach.
