16mm-6an
18mm-6an
Inverted flare O-ring fittings.

I used Aeroquips but other suppliers have them to.

Wade...not needing an "adapter". I am having the lines built. I need to know what fittings I need to tell them to put on the Hydroboost ends. 18mm and 16mm I know, but are they o-ring fittings? Flare fittings? Reverse flare fittings, etc? Thanks

So I'm taking the specs to the hydraulic shop tomorrow to have the lines built. I will tell them to use the stock type fitting that goes to the pressure side of the PS Pump with a 90 degree bend and it will be 36" long with an 18mm Inverted flare O-Ring fitting on the other end with a 45 degree tube for the Hydro. The other line will have the stock size fitting for the Steering box and a 90 degree tube bend on one end, will be 24" long and have the 16mm inverted flare o-ring fitting on the other end with a 45 degree tube. Sound right?

Not sure about the 45 deg tube at the HB, most use 90 deg bends so they will run straight tward the front. One other thing is indexing the fittings will make them fit alot better. I am just about finished with mine, I'll post some pics as soon as I finish (tommorrow). The fittings are inverted flare O-ring fittings as Black Rat has said.

Can you clarify "indexing the fittings"? I was going with 45 degree's at the Hydro because I am going straight down before going forward...

when you attach one end of the hose to the HB than the 90 on the other end of the hose needs to be facing the P/S pump and not the fire wall. If they are swivel fittings than this will not matter but if they are not than you will have to twist the hose 180 deg. I think that makes sents.

The will be fixed fittings, not swivel. I think I understand what your trying to say. The hose should have enough "flex" though, don't you think? With the hard hoses (ends) being able to be rotated before final tightening?

Anyone got any updates to this thread?

Jclgodale - did you get the hoses (or at least a quote of what it should cost?)

Chevyman - you had said that yours should be done in a few days and would post some pics....had any chance to do that?

Anxiously waiting here.....gonna sit and do both the jeep box and hydroboost at the same time. So gonna get new hoses all over.

Yup...got mine installed and operating. I ended up building my own lines via Russell braided hose and fittings. The one thing I noticed from the suggested parts above is that the Metric fittings going into my Hydro unit "are not" Inverted flare o-ring fittings. They are just O-ring fittings.
Jeg's also has an adapter fitting that gos from your 5/8 inverted flare high pressure side on the back of your PS pump to a 6an male fitting.
