Keep an eye on the engine temp, maybe upgrade to a Mark VIII fan to pull extra air.

It's coming along nicely. I can't wait to see it in action.
Job well done.

Thanks, it was a packaging challenge. There is a gap between the intercooler and radiator, and I run a very good electric fan. We will see.

You should be fine if you have good electric fans. The intercooler on my 1200hp TT SBC427 totally covered the radiator and a Spal dual electic fan setup kept it cool in any traffic/weather condition.

Very nice looking setup by the way!

Thanks, Monty.
Just got back from a few shake-down blips of the throttle to check things out. 5 pounds of boost at 3,000 rpm's, and 10 lbs at about 5,000. It is set up (geared) to max out at 16 lbs. around 6,500. From a 40 mph roll-out, absolutely no traction (2nd. gear) on the 295's above 4,000 rpm's. ......
Gonna be a learning curve for sure, and an interesting summer.

Good times, enjoy. Be safe and be careful. There's few things that'll give you that "white knuckle" feeling like punching the throttle at 70 mph and doing a burnout.

Yes, safety first. I am working with a fabricator on converting my 4 point cage to at least a 6 point with swing-out door bars, or whatever NHRA dictates. Dyno scheduling next to work out A/F ratios and timing.

Thanks...
Yes to the fuel lines...1/2 inch supply line, 3/8th return. No sump, just put a #10 bung close to the rear of the tank, then into an Aeromotive filter and pump. I am tired of the electric pump whine, which only got louder with the addition of the return line. Now I have a "Race pumps" pump and regulator ready to go in.

No video...no dyno...been raining so much here lately. Since I put a DeWitts radiator in, it is running a little cooler, but I still need a bigger electric fan. I really need to find a way to use vacuum advance on my application, if only for light throttle. That will help with cooling also.

I don't have any symptoms that would indicate the need for boost retard or different heat-range plugs. Only running 8.3:1 scr with a big cam, so I think I'm safe from detonation. Yes, a bigger fan is in the works. I am using a long water-pump and a spreader bar, so that limits my fan selection somewhat. cheers:

my idea is you set your timing at low rmp a litle bit high, so it help engine to be cooler when cruise, and when you are under boost your Boost controller limit advance to prevent detonation!? it's just an idea to help

I felt the boost retart was necessary. Your 8.3 compression ratio turns into 15-1 under your 16 pound boost limitation. The boost retart can dial in 1 or 2 degrees of spark retart for every pound of boost.
It is a very nice looking setup
