Default Electric Choke

Where do you pick up the power for an electric choke on a car not equiped with one? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You need a switched lead. Get out your voltage tester and start testing. You want a hot lead that switches on with the ignition.

Have heard in here that the Yellow wire at the wiper motor was the place to go

I used an open ignition terminal on the fuse block, a relay, a power wire from the alternator, and created an IGN switched 12V fuse block. I ran the electric choke wire form it, the stereo, and I have four extra places for any other wiring needs that require an IGN source.

In the engine compartment, come off the wiper motor.
If you want to go through the firewall, come off any spare "IGN" (preferred) or "ACC" terminal on the fuseblock.
Whatever you do, don't use the hot wire feeding the ignition coil circuit.

Hooking into the wire going to the heater motor works as well.
