another timing question
is the rule, 36 deg + 16 deg apply to BB like SB?.. pump gas is 91 CA.... cam is close to the 435hp cam but hyd.. L36 intake with some porting and matching of intake and exhaust.... edelbrock #1910, 850 cfm spread bore... 10:1.... the car runs nice but when i hammer it,... it just does not come on like i think it should.... expecting to much out of 38 year old car?

Big-blocks like about the same timing as smal blocks. Some big-blocks prefer 38 dgr due to crappy chambers.
I prefer to keep total timing below 50 degrees though. Might want to switch over to a 10 or 12 dgr vacuum can.
