It looks like you have an Edelbrock replacement for a Carter AFB carburetor. That style of carb never came on the C3 Corvettes; only Rochester Quadrajets (small blocks and low HP big blocks) and Holleys (high-performance engines) came installed from the factory. I can't tell from your photos, but it looks like someone has put some kind of transition spacer between a stock intake manifold and your Edelbrock carb. If that is true, it is a very bad setup. While setting still [and engine off], push the throttle cable to full open and look down the carb primary bores. If the primary holes in the manifold (under the carb and spacer) are smaller than the bores in the carb, it is probably a stock Q-jet manifold. Your solution would be to find a suitable Q-jet carb or to find the right manifold for your existing carb. If, in fact, the inlet holes in the intake are the same as the carb bore sizes, it is matched properly and should run OK if set up properly.

Get the number off the carburetor and go to Edelbrock's website to look it up.

Get the number off the carb - that's the only way to know what you have - you can't tell cfm visually.

Edelbrock 1400, 1405 and 1406 is 600 cfm (most likely)
1403, 1404 is 500 cfm
1411 and 1407 is 750
