I have many parts off. Power steering I know is probably the worst drag I have that I don't want to part with. The 68 is a little lighter than most c3's I think. It is a convertible with an M22 4 speed, 468 tripower w/aluminum heads. It has right at 500 rwhp on a cool day.
I like the brake caliper and rotor idea. I need to check my battery. How much weight does the aluminum radiator save?

The bell is one of those things you have to "weigh" in more than one sense. Sure wish there were an SFI piece that wasn't 40 odd pounds. The blanket route is a light weight option, but I figure it's likely become a mess on the street.
Got rid of my PS after it tried to kill me. It's not that bad, and sure improves your upper body strength.
With an alum rad, I believe you'll be looking at around half the weight of an orig rad, depending on the HP capacity you choose.
