I am going to be installing mine this weekend and wondered if anyone else had installed one on their vette yet and if they had any issues? i.e., clamps, bends, cutting etc, etc....
I ordered one for my '76 at the end of December. They claim I might get it at the end of February. I sure hope it's worth the wait. My car has been sitting on jack stands, with a new crate engine, waiting on nothing but this Pypes system. Let me know how yours turned out.
I installed mine a few months ago. I got it in june/july time frame.
It all went fine except for the connections to the headers. These were not even ball park in my car. 1968 bigblock with hedman headers.
They could not be cut, re-fabbed, or anything. 2 new pieces had to be bent.
I like it overall but it needs more refinement. It may bolt up to some cars but the header offsets were way off on mine.
Granted, it is a custom setup but I need something to work with
soon as I get a crossmember in I will let you know how mine goes, but I have to work the next two weekends...... Mine is going into a small block and front the current measurements on the xpipe to the headers it looks like it should be close enough.
I ordered mine on Nov 30th from Summit. They originally backordered it until 10 Jan. But it showed up at my house on Dec 17th.

I see most of these are going on th350 and 4spd cars. I would like to see one installed on a th400. I bet the pipe would hit the pan since the th400 is bigger and if like mine there is a deep pan on it.

[QUOTE=mzmgb;1563884551]I ordered mine in late Dec as well. Told me ships in the first week of March.
You must be in the same shape as me.....I can't believe I'm putting up with this kind of foolishness of selling stuff they don't have. I sure hope it's good.
Well, I did a Yahoo search and ordered from the best price. $430 + $10 handling versus $619 + $60 shipping. Summit told me it should arrive 01/12 and now they've put it off until 02/29. Is this a bargain?....I don't know.....Ask my wife, she's the one having to park outside while my car is waiting completion.
i thought so too. Im pricing the pipe and a universal x pipe from summit to build my own. and its coming in right a 200 bucks, with me already having the mufflers.
