Default Tire size

I am replacing my old Goodyear ST's 225/60-15's with BF Goodridge Radial TA's 235/60-15's.
Do I need to be concerned about the speedo difference?

The 235/60/15 tires will be 1.8% slower, so at 60 mph your really doing 61.1 mph.

Try this site, if the tire height is the same there's no speedo change.

http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

It looks like 245/55-15 will fit, it's 25.6 tall like your original size. The 235 size is taller and will actually read low on your speedo. 245's should fit since 255's used to come OEM. But don't take my word for it, check with the shop your going to deal with, their books will tell you.

Not between those two size's.. Question why not run the correct size tire to start with? Both the 225/60 & 235/60 are smaller tires. I would either run the original 225/70/15 or 255/60/15 my .02

The car had the 225/60's on it and the trans speedo gears are setup for them. I also had a little front fender rubing issue and a bigger tire would make that worse. I do not believe the fenders are original and think that is why I had the rubing issue.
Thanks for your imput. I will not worry about it any more.
