1 what mods (I don't care about stock) should I do to the frame I am hoping to get some pics, take frame to a welder and ask them to "weld this"
2 sandblast vs acid dip
3 powdercoating best way to go ?

Your frame would be fine for the combo that you have,if it is solid,so doing mods would....yes strengthen it up some, but really not warranted.I have the inside of my frame rails treated w/rust incapsulator, then sandblasted, and powder coated.
I mjust took a modified 68 frame to the place yesterday that I use local, and should have it back for next week.
The frames are 2 pieces, and stitch welded......I welded the frame up complete, added gussets, and added reinforcements since it was a early 68 frame...at the kick ups,and made the crossmember removeable. This is for a 550 horse + BB,5-speed road raced themed car tho,so the extra strength is warranted, even tho started w/a perfect 68 frame.
Hope this helps some. These frames are pretty strong from the factory, bud.
They held all the high horse BBs,and SBs out the assy plant's doors.....

here's a stock 69 vert frame...treated,sandblasted,and powdercoated semi-gloss blk......

Alan
