Default Tranny Question

How can I tell what kind of tranny I have in the car? I bought the car a few months ago. I was told the car had a rebuilt 327, but after reading the #'s on the block, it looks like it could be a 327 or 350...I still can't figues that one out.

I want to change the tranny fluid, filter, and gasket, but am not sure what type of fluid to buy, as I don't know what is in the car.

If the tranny has not been changed-out, you have a Turbo-Hydramatic 350 in your car. THM400's were last used in 1974's.

Thanks. Any idea how to figure out what engine I have? I have the block #'s, but it is still ambiguous.

Post your engine I.D. info on the Forum; there are 'those who know' right here.
