I'm installing a charcoal canister back in my car. (Previous owner removed the original one.) The donor canister is from a 76 or 77 I believe. It has two vac ports on top and one on the bottom.
One on top is labeled Tank and other Carb. One on bottom has no marking. I assume the one marked Tank would go to the vent line to the tank. Where do I hook up the one marked Carb? Should it be "T"'d off the PCV line or to the carb? Where does the one on the bottom go?
I'm running an Edlebrock Air Gap and Holley 650, so originality and emmission legal is not a concern.
My 73 has three connections on top: Tank, Carb & PCV. There is a forth connection on the bottom which I assume is a drain. I haven't tried to connect it yet but I'll do some digging tonight to see if I can find some info that will help us both.
I don't know about your year's set-up, but my "Carb" line runs up to T in with the PCV valve on the rocker cover...then to the front base inlet on the carb.
