Hey guys. I just wanted to see if you could give me some direction on something.
I am building a 383 for my '69 Vette and it has an Edelbrock 3-deuce intake with 2G carbs. I know that there is not room for the stock distributor with those 3 carbs installed. Do you guys know who sells a distributor that will fit in this scenario, what model it is and also whether or not it will work with the Tach cable drive? I thought I had heard that MSD sold one but wasn't sure about that.
I have the MSD tach drive on mine and it works great. Cleared my small base tripower and the large base too. Had a small issue with the rear line into my nitrous plate but I got it to clear too.
man...those are pretty Mako!
You will be fine w/the stock distributor,or the MSD.I don't have tri-power,but have a tight squeeze,and run a transistorizes setup.Did have a Msd,and Mallory in there,but the transitorized out-performed them.
Lars is correct. The stock dist. should be fine. If the points window is a problem use a Pertronex unit and they also sell a stock looking cap with no window. Thats what I did when I needed the room for the webers on my 66.
