Default C4 seats

Has anyone put C4 seats in a C3?

I need a little more lumbar support and I think the C4s will do it

Thanks

Lots have done this. Give the advanced search function a try, and you'll find a lot of threads with pics and descriptions.

I have done this to mine. I purchased some sport seats from a 91. There isn't much modification to make them bolt to your existing mounts. I originally was going the C5 seat route, but found the price of the C4 about half the cost, so I gave them a shot and am happy with the look. I will post a pic of them even though it is a work in progress.

Forgive the mess.

Would love to see the pics of this. I have searched the forum and found a ton of great info and C4 seats installed in a C2 but having a hard time finding pics of actual C4 seats installed in a C3. I have found a set out of an 86 for $80 and I'm thinking about making the switch for my 72 but have read a few comments that people think they are too tall which is why I'm looking for some pics.

Thanks in advance for the help...

Thanks Zwede! Would you happen to have a pic from the back as I'm curious to know how high they sit? i.e. do they fill up the back window? Did you keep the electric motor(s) or just bolt them down?

Sorry, it's the only pic I have and the car is currently disassembled. The power motors will not fit. I bolted the seats to the C3 tracks and they still sat high. At 5'10" I just barely fit in the car and my legs were very close to the steering wheel.

I then modified the C3 tracks and lowered them. Basically cut out a slice of the bracket that bolts to the floor and welded it back together. After than they sit at the same hight as stock.
