OK, I am almost ready to pull the body off but I have a couple questions. First,I had to push open one of the headlights to get a a bolt but don't know how to get it to go back down?
Second, I'm trying to separate the steering rag joint. I removed two nuts and loosened the clamp on the steering wheel side. Do I just pry it apart at this point?

Bubs,

Don't force the headlight down...the assembly is a cast/pot metal underneath, and it CAN break! To lower it, grasp the headlight assembly with one hand, and "buckle" the linkage with the other. Toward the front of the car I think. It works just like a knee joint, and the assembly with slowly ease back down when you work it just right.

The rag joint should slide on the splined ends of both the column and the gear box if the bolts on both sides are removed. Might need to spread it a little and soak it with PB/ WD-40. You could also loosen the bolts inside the car holding the steering column in place, and pull the whole column back toward you. there is about an inch or so of movement there. Just make sure the linkage coming out of the column on the engine side of the firewall is disconnected.

And the engine harness ground connection on the starter mount bolt.
Yes! It made the quietest little pop as the body came up.

Thanks Allen, I never would have seen that one. It's good to have such knowledgable people to turn to.
Thanks,
