Ok I have been thinking of doing this for awhile. This will help those thinking about doing this swap. Please just copy the list when you post, and just fill in your info. This will allow others to get a good idea of what is working and who has done it. Feel free to ad categories if you need some.

Misc info: The F-body headers are a decent fit but the driverside header collector kicks out to the side but it could be overcome. It also just barely touches the steering gear box.

Transmission: F-body T56, factory Hurst shifter.

Crossmember (stock/modified/aftermarket): Stock auto trans, modified mount.

Exhaust Manifolds/Headers: Hooker LS1 shorty headers.

Wiring Harness (modified stock/aftermarket): Modified stock

Radiatior/Fan: Dewitt's/SPAL fan

Fuel Pump/Lines/tank: Stock tank; External Walbro 255; C5 filter/regulator; 3/8" steel line on driver side; AN-6 braided line from hard line to engine.

Steering System: Stock P/S for now.

Misc info: Magnaflow 2.5" exhaust P/N 16841. Designed for 72 BB engine. All stainless, x-pipe, polished mufflers w/dual round tips on each side.

Oil Pan: Batwing oil pan was retained and will fit easily on a rack and pinon car.

Engine Mounts: Transdapt

Engine Accessories: modified F-bod to fit C5 supercharger, S&P AC mount

Manual Throttle/Drive by Wire: Manual 90MM UMI Throttle

Waterpump: Stock

Transmission: F-body T56 with LS6 clutch

Clutch Master Cylinder: modified '85 1 ton truck master clutch master cylinder

Crossmember (stock/modified/aftermarket): Modified stock

Exhaust Manifolds/Headers: modified SS Hooker sidepipes with LS1 flanges

Wiring Harness (modified stock/aftermarket): Speartech custom length harness puts computer in rear compartment

Radiatior/Fan: Be Cool with dual Spal fans

Fuel Pump/Lines/tank: Rock Valley SS tank with in-tank pump

Steering System: Steeroids rack and pinion

Brakes: 14" slotted rotors with 6 piston aluminum Wilwood calipers in front and four piston aluminum Wilwoods on stock sized slotted rotor in rear with proportioning valve. Hydroboost assists in the braking.

Misc info: C5 Magnuson supercharger, LS6 heads and cam. If you decide to go with a roots blower, make sure you get a hot rod style as it will make the installation much easier. The Maggies will fit under a L88 hood. Also, highly recommend Speartech for your wiring harness. Asked all the right questions and I ended up with a harness that fit perfectly into the car. Finally, a 700R4 automatic tranny mount will bolt up to a T56.

Fuel Pump/Lines/tank: Stock 78 tank with 82 corvette sending unit and a 90's LT1 pump. Stock lines with 99 corvette fuel filter/reg combo.

Steering System: GM Grand Am rack with Speedway Motors tie rods and heim joints. Adapted to 2001 stock F-Body pump

Misc info: Best Quarter mile 12.8, best 60 foot was 1.9 on 275/60 BFG's. Best dyno was 319 RWHP. Proud to be one of the 3 first conversions thanks to Jeff and Matt.

Just got the April '09 issue of Corvette Enthusiast today. They have a feature on a new book called: "How to Swap GM LS-Series Engines Into Almost Anything".
