Thank you, really appreciate it! Spedaleden's car is an original manual car and with his help, I'm just going by how his car was set-up.
Since you did a swap, perhaps you can be of assistance as well with other misc. stuff like the reverse lights, safety switch, etc. not to mention the z bar and other brackets.
Thank you once again and I do look forward to those pics.
We finally got the pedals on (after 6 tries)!!! The problem was that the pedal assembly we have didn't match with the holes on the car. My son used the auto pedal bracket and attached all the components from the the other assembly to it. Pedals and rod are now on.
Now, to deal with the Z bar and the other related brackets before we struggle with the tranny rods.

This is how the bracket goes to the frame. The wiring harness is bolted to one hole and the actual loom hides the second hole. Once you take the loom loose you'll see the other hole.
Be sure and put the ball stud in the hole that is about 6-8" from the rear of the block. It will screw into the one at the very back but the z-bar won't fit......ask me how I know.

There are 2 switches that go to the automatic brake pedal, which one did you use with the swap since only one will go to the manual brake pedal (brake lights)?

Please clarify what you mean.....many thanks!!!!
The ball stud will fit in several holes but the linkage will only line up properly when it is installed in the correct stud boss. Notice the picture above has the stud in the correct location. I wish I had a lift I could get some detailed shots of my '81 that is a 4spd car.
Is your car an original 4 speed? Just asking because I'm trying to figure out the brake light switch, back-up light switch and the neutral safety switch as well. I wonder if there's a way to bypass the safety switch???

Back up switch is mounted on Transmission. Here are the parts you need.
I believe its the lower switch. The one on top is for cruise control. You might need a new switch. Auto and manual are different switches. Take a test light and check. The brake light switch, switches power not ground. One terminal on the switch will have constant 12 volts the other terminal will receive 12 volts when pedal is depressed.
