I have a 1982 crossfire injection vette. For the past couple of months the car has been leaking a yellow liquid in the front passenger side. Any idea what it is and how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated.
Got to be coolant. Check all your hose connections and check the radiator for leaks. These cars get all kinds of gremlins in them during the winter hibernation. Your car is just trying to tell you that it needs some love. Go take it for a ride. haha
Have a nice day! It's going to be about 60 today so I'm taking mine out for a spin just to rid it of the "Winter Gremlins".
Sounds like coolant. Many part stores allow you to borrow tools. If you can borrow a pressure tester, you can connect to your radiator (in place of the radiator cap) and add pressure to the system. This will allow you to inspect the system under pressure. Do it when its cold to make the inspection easier. You may also want to inspect your overflow tank and radiator cap. Is the overflow tank still there and connected? And test the radiator cap. If its weak it may be allowing pressurized coolant to seek out through the overflow tube and drip on the ground. Again a tester allows you to check out they system and the cap.
Is there some bad-a$$, muscle-bound BB that crosses paths with you and your car on a regularl basis? I mean...that might cause some yellow liquid to be dribbled out.... {probably coolant, though..}
