Major VIN Problem
Forget the plans for a stroked engine and new trans.
Work with what you have so it isnt going to cost you! See if the engine will turn and if she does, get the bits put back on your engine and get her running.
I wish you luck with your project. Yes it will take many years to complete but more importantly you will learn about the car and also the feeling of immense satisfaction you get when something works for the first time and you can stand back and say ' I dit that!'
Good luck and keep the posts going.
You got a great deal on the learning experience of a lifetime. Have fun fiddling and dismantling, rebuilding and swearing.
And I suggest using a milk crate over a lawn chair... the lawn chair will flip over with you in it. Ask me how I know.
Good Luck!
