How much HP
Advice needed. How much HP will a stock 74 w/a th400 take.(street only) Have a stock L48 (190 HP) in it now. Nothing wild, just a little more Sh*t and Get.

That will cover the transmission. What about the differential, U-joints, & half-shafts? I think if you double the HP, you will have problems with your 'pumpkin' & standard 190HP U-joints.

I'm not sure why anyone would spend the money for an engine that will make 500-600 HP, then put street tires on it so that it won't break. If you only want to spin the tires, spend a lot less on the engine.
