A ticket for 10 mph above the limit??? Thanks god - I live in Florida. I don't know anybody around here that has been ticketed for anything less than 20 mph.... Here in Miami - if they would ticket everyone for 10 mph above the limit they could as well pull over everyone. Even most police cars drive 70 - 75 at 55 without being in an emergency... The tickets I got so far were for: 65 mph at 30 limit, 51 mph at 30 limit (twice) and 91 mph at 70 limit. So far I got no points on my license. Once the cop didn't show in court (as expected), the other time the judge offered me : no points/lower fine in the pre-trial and I accepted, for the other 2 tickets I went to driving school online not to get points. Online Driving School is great. You don't need to take time off work to complete it.
